NUHYDRO FARMS ISN'T JUST COMMITTED TO GROWING FRESH MICROGREENS. OUR GOAL IS TO GROW IN STEP WITH NATURE AND GROW GREENS A BETTER WAY.
When founder and grower David Derkits found his passion for hydroponics, he also found a renewed purpose. With completing a Marine Corps career and private military contracting, David's dreams aren't limited to what he can do to make a living, but what he can do to improve a life.
As an evolving science, hydroponics is a new and developing science worldwide. When these techniques are applied in agriculture, hydroponic farming has the potential to provide a fresh sustainable food source. When he realized the potential of this process and the associated benefits, he knew he could make it a reality.
THE FARM
Located in Bangor, Pa, NUHYDRO Farms is a Veteran owned and operated indoor hydroponic micro-farm. Our farm grows a variety of microgreens based on customer demand and what challenges us as growers. Our seeds are not genetically modified nor do we use herbicides or pesticides. We grow on jute fiber with some help from added nutrients and minerals, just like those contained within the soil. Our goal is to grow in step with nature while providing great, nutritious food for our community.
